Der Eierlauf ist der Klassiker beim Kindergeburtstag. Dabei gilt es zuerst, einen kleinen Parcours aufzubauen. Mehr Geschicklichkeit erfordert hingegen bereits der Rollerparcours. Auf einer geeigneten Fläche können unterschiedliche Schikanen aufgebaut werden, an denen sich die Kinder probieren können. Dabei können kleine künstliche Hügel aufgebaut werden, aber auch Slalomfahrten. Wer den Parcours fehlerfrei bzw. am schnellsten meistert, hat gewonnen.

Wenn eine größere Fläche wie ein kleiner Park oder ein großer Spielplatz zur Verfügung steht, wo die Kinder sicher unterwegs sein können, kann auch eine Schnitzeljagd mit den Rollern organisiert werden. Dabei bekommen die Kinder eine Rätselkarte und müssen bestimmte Punkte ausfindig machen. Bei jedem der Punkte wird den Kindern eine kleine Aufgabe gestellt. Dies kann eine Geschicklichkeitsübung oder auch eine Denkaufgabe sein. Meistern sie diese, bekommen sie einen Stempel auf ihre Karte. Dann geht es mit dem Roller gleich weiter zur nächsten Station. Wer alle Stempel gesammelt hat, bekommt einen Preis.
